Despite the strong and chilly winds over the weekend we still had a total of 695 runners take part in the 4th virtual Frostbite. There were 121 juniors and 574 seniors out over the two days. Thanks to everyone who took part for your support.

In the senior event Hunts AC took top spot with PANVAC in 2nd place and Ely in 3rd. For the Juniors Hunts retained 1st place with C&C 2nd and PANVAC in 3rd place, a rerun of the 3rd event.

Next virtual race on 13th and 14th March at a venue near you!

Regrettably we have taken the decision to cancel the 2020/21 Frostbite season due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. This decision was not taken lightly but due to restrictions on race organisation the only option.

Although we can't meet together we can still run and therefore pleased to announce the Virtual Frostbite League 2020/21.

There will be six Frostbite events, one per month from November through to April. Unlike the normal league the events will be held over two days - Saturday and Sunday of Frosty weekend.

The rules are simple, seniors run 5 miles and juniors 1.5 miles the same as normal events.
Run the distance either Saturday or Sunday and then upload your results using the link provided.
Some clubs may co-ordiate the results and upload a single set. Please check with your club.

The Frosty weekends are:
13-14/02/21, 13-14/03/21 and 10-11/04/21.

*Runners can run any time on the Saturday or Sunday with seniors doing 5 miles and juniors 1.5 miles as the normal league.
* Competitors much respect social distancing rules and adhere to the latest guide to exercising with others.
* Normal scoring applies with 3 ladies, 3 men and 4 either m/f to make up the 10 senior scorers. For juniors again 2 girls, 2 boys and a further runner either m/f to make up the five scorers.
* If a team does not have the required number of scorers missing positions will be calculated based on normal Frostbite rules. Therefore if 200 run, all non-scorers will be added as 201.
* Points will also be awarded based on how many runners a team submits.
* Results sorted as now and league table prepared.
Please remember this is just for fun so no trophies or RoS awards but a bit of friendly fun.
We won't be asking for proof of times, but should we find a budding Mo then would expect the time to be replicated next season at Bourne Woods!
